Description

after a model by J.J. Kändler, of flattened baluster form, modelled in relief and applied with forest animals fleeing burning trees, the scrolled lip affixed with a handle in the form of a dragon, flanked by a maiden and Vulcan seated at the shoulder holding bellows, the verso moulded in low relief with an erupting volcano, cancelled crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised numeral 310.
