Michael M. Thomas, 'Bellagio House. The David Murdock Estate in Bel-Air', Architectural Digest, February 1987, p.57

An organ clock incorporating an identical patinated bronze boar and gilded rockwork base and putto (with only a slight variation to the form of the boar's tail) was in the Dr Anton C.R. Dreesmann collection, sold Christie's London, 10 April 2002, lot 340. The dial and movement are signed AUTRAN A MONTELIMART, and it is interesting that this example and the offered lot, which appear to be the only recorded examples of this specific model of a wild boar on a rockwork base, both have dials signed by provincial makers from the Rhone region of France about whom very little is known.
