4¼-inch dial engraved foliate corners, the inner alarm disc with steel indicator and engraved to the centre with flowers, the movement with fusee to the going train and pierced and engraved standing barrels to the strike and alarm, verge and balance escapement with later hair spring and regulation, finely pierced and engraved single footed pinned balance cock, numbered and engraved outside count wheel and blued steel gates striking on a bell, the backplate indistinctly signed Paul Cassan A Vies?, the square case finely engraved with grotesque masks and foliate scrolls, the bell housed in pierced cage below
