Description

9-inch dial with wheatear border, signed Edward Bird Londini fecit along the lower Edge, winged cherub spandrels, finely matted centre with engraved rose and date aperture, replaced hands, two-train fusee movement with seven ring-turned knopped pillars, re-converted verge escapement, bell striking, the backplate engraved with tulips and mounted with, steel and brass set-up ratchets and an outside numbered count wheel with external detent, the restored case with spiral pilasters to all four corners, carrying handle, repousse brass mounts and frets to the shallow dome, flattened ball finials and wood frieze fret, on a restored turntable base with bun feet
