Description

rectangular with cut corners, the reeded cagework mounts enclosing dark blue glass panels painted in gold with classical architectural elements including temple ruins and obelisks alternating with village views and port scenes, framed by chased gold scrollwork borders, jewelled pushpiece, the interior fitted with a hinged compartment with matching painted blue glass lid, mounted in chased gold, surrounded by four small compartments holding gold-capped faceted glass scent bottles, the interior of the lid lined in purple velvet, formerly probably containing a mirror, apparently unmarked,
