Bericht von Bergwercken. Leipzig: Christopff Gunther, 1690
Folio (317 x 202 mm). Engraved title, 16 engraved plates; a few small wormholes in lower margin of first few text leaves and plates, some light browning. Contemporary German vellum over boards; worn and soiled, losses at extremities, endpapers renewed.
Third edition of this celebrated work, first published in 1617 by the author himself. Lohneyss (1552-1625?), was inspector general of mines of Zellerfeld, Clausthal, and Andreasberg. After having a fight with a publisher, he set up his own press.
