Description
Hollunder, Christian Fürchtegott
Berg- und hüttenmännischer Wegweiser durch Ober-Schlesien. Berlin: Haude and Spener, 1828
2 volumes, 8vo (190 x 112 mm). Title to each volume, 3 folding engraved plates, 2 in-text diagrams; a few stray stains, marginal tear or paper flaw to p. 73 in volume 1, plate in volume 2 slightly foxed. Contemporary marbled boards, gilt-lettered red spine labels, edges stained yellow; edges and corners lightly rubbed, spines bumped at heads and tails.
An excellent survey of the mining and metallurgy of the region of upper Silesia, with the first bibliography of that area.
