We are grateful to Nicola Spinosa and Riccardo Lattuada for endorsing the attribution to Paolo de Matteis on the basis of a digital image and to Spinosa for proposing a date of circa 1715–1720. Another autograph version of this composition, with the same dimensions, was sold in London in 2002.¹
