Mount Fuji among dark clouds

Taisho period, dated Taisho hinoe tora aki (autumn of the Year of the Fire Tiger, 1926)

 

handscroll: ink and gold pigment on silk, dated and signed Taisho hinoe tora aki, Shokodoshu (Shokodoshu, in the autumn of the Year of the Fire Tiger, 1926), sealed Taikan, the accompanying scroll with dedication inscribed Koten geijutsu no tame ni Takemoto Tsudayu kun ni okuru [Given to Takemoto Tsudayu for the benefit of the classical arts], each with silk brocade border, cypress wood (hinoki) scroll ends
