An Egyptian Gypsum Plaster Head of a King, Early Ptolemaic Period, circa 305-200 B.C.
probably a sculptor's model or votive head, perhaps Ptolemy II, wearing the nemes headcloth with uraeus, his idealized face with outlined lips and finely outlined almond-shaped eyes, the eyebrows in relief.
Height 10.2 cm., 4in.
