carved on one side in low relief with the head of a king facing right and wearing the Blue Crown with ureaus and broad collar with beaded perimeter, and on the other side in sunk relief with the head of a lion facing left.

8 by 5.2 by 1.9 cm, 3⅛ by 2 by ¾ in.

Françoise Schlumberger-Primat (1917-1998), Château de Grandchamp, Calvados, France, acquired in the 1960s or earlier;

by descent to the present owner.
