Ficherelli was a pupil of Jacopo da Empoli (1551-1640), and an interesting artistic personality to whom Filippo Baldinucci devoted one of his biographies.1


His graphic style remains unknown, but the very finished character of the composition of the present sheet resembles some of Ficherelli's painted oeuvres.
