the rectangular box with overhanging cover, decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with inlays of lead and mother-of-pearl on a polished black lacquer ground, with camellias and young pines, the interior with a dense profusion of grasses, silver inlaid dewdrops, fitted with an ink slate and rectangular iron water dropper, fundame rims
