The present panels illustrate two episodes from the story of Adam and Eve. In the first, Adam and Eve stand hand in hand before God, surrounded by an assortment of plants and animals, symbolizing the Garden of Eden. In the second, Adam holds the forbidden fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, while Eve receives the fruit directly from the serpent.
