decorated with small roses and foliage, on cabriole legs, with a glazed brown silk upholstery with a floral pattern, trace of a partially illegible stamp probably GOURDIN, the paintwork refreshed

side chair: 87cm high, 56cm wide, the seat 49cm deep; 34 ¼ in., 22in., 19 ¼ in.

Jean-Baptiste Gourdin, woodmaker, received master in 1748.
