(New York Stock Exchange)

Two cast metal plaques, reading "New York Stock Exchange Safe Deposit Company," which flanked the entrance to the New York Stock Exchange Building. Installed ca. 1904

 

Two cast patinated and parcel gilt bronze plaques (approximately 66 x 36 in). Unmarked, ornate border cast with wreaths and cartouches; lettering-pieces removed, oxidized throughout, rubbing and losses to gilding, wear particularly to the face of round headpiece of each, general soiling.
