opening with one large drawer, with oval mounts and laurel garlands on the angles, stamped DELACOUR et JME, with the fire mark of BV with a crown and ink mark « Du N.° 122. / 3 »; (the bronze re-gilt)

Commissioned for Madame Adélaïde, daughter of Louis XV, at the Château de Bellevue, to furnish her Apartment No. 5, recorded in the 1786 inventory (A.N. O/1/3379, p. 46);
Former collection of Jean Nicolaÿ, collector and art historian, author of the book ‘L'art et la manière des ébénistes du XVIIIe siècle’ in 1985, former lawyer at the Council of State. He had assembled his collections in his building at 13 Rue Bonaparte in Paris, including this royal table, which he acquired and passed on by inheritance to the current owner.
