Description

6-inch latched dial with winged cherub spandrels, signed along the lower edge Tho Tompion Londini Fecit, matted centre with central alarm disc, alarm winding at I, the movement with six latched, knopped and ringed pillars, single chain fusee, verge escapement, Tompion's quarter repeating operated from both sides and acting on two bells, the alarm acting on the smaller bell, the backplate cut for the bells and engraved with tulips and foliate scrolls, signed as the dial, the Phase 1 case with gilt carrying handles to the domed top set with a pierced gilt mount, gilt escutcheons, moulded base
