The sitter was the daughter of Samuel Eastwicke, M.P. (1736–1795). In 1778 she married Robert Burnett Jones (c. 1750–1817), Attorney General of Barbados. This portrait is a version of a painting of Mrs Robert Burnett Jones in a private collection.¹
