Description

the hollow lead-lined urns with ovoid finials and a narrow band of boxwood and ebony to the body, the bases with a fluted frieze, figured mahogany cock-beaded drawer fronts and boxwood banding to the sides, one example with a single drawer formerly lined and with a drainage hole above a door, the other with dummy drawer fronts on a single door opening onto a lead-lined interior with a later adjustable shelf, on plinth bases


approx 190cm high, 49.5cm wide, 47.5cm deep;

6ft. 2 ¾ in., 1ft. 7 ½ in., 1ft. 6 ¾ in.

By repute at Corby Castle, Cumbria prior to the 1990s.
