Conceived in 1910; this example cast by Georges Rudier Foundry, Paris in 1956 in an edition of 8 casts. 10 additional casts were produced between 1917 and 1952.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin in collaboration with Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2011-3474B.
