of lantern form, stamped with paneled foliage in revivalist taste, openwork tops, engraved with Hebrew initials


Height 14¼ in.

36 cm

These finials appear as model 4285 in the catalogue Lazarus Posen, Hofsilberschmiedt Frankfurt A.M. - Berlin.  This was a popular model by the Posen firm, and surviving examples include a pair recently donated to the synagogue at Yad Vashem and another pair owned by Posen family descendants.
