FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, small folio (283 x 188 mm), title-page within allegorical woodcut border, woodcut headpieces and initials, modern period style calf, stamped in blind, red sprinkled edges, new endpapers, some marginal browning
Machiavelli's astute account of the history of Florence was originally commissioned by the Medici family and first published posthumously in 1532.
