binding: Early nineteenth-century dark green morocco (117 x 72 mm) (signed C. Smith, probably Samuel Charles Smith, no. 31 in Cowie's Bookbinders’s Manual, 1829), gilt anchor device on covers, spine gilt, gilt fillet around edges, two gilt fillets on turn-ins, marbled endpapers, gilt edges. (Spine a little worn.)
