FIRST EDITION OF NAUDÉ'S SEMINAL SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY FRENCH TREATISE ON LIBRARIANSHIP, very rare at auction. Naudé was librarian to Cardinal Mazarin, as well as a noted humanist and scholar. Bound with three other rare eighteenth-century works, including Durey de Noinville's early bibliography of bibliographies and his bibliography of dictionaries.
