2 works in one volume, 8vo (154 x 98 mm). (1) Italic type. collation: A-E4: 20 leaves. Title-page with woodcut device; (2) Italic type. collation: π2 A-L4 χ2: 48 leaves. Woodcut initial on verso of final text leaf. (Small dampstain to title-page.)
binding: Contemporary portrait medallion binding (160 x 105 mm), possibly Roman, dark brown morocco, 3 gilt fillets around sides, gilt rosette at inner angle, large gilt leafy panel stamp applied tête-bêche surrounding a small roundel containing a medallion portrait of a woman, facing right, long flowing hair over her shoulder and bound by a fillet (circular, 20mm., Hobson 30?), sections of décor enameled silver, black, and red, spine with 2 full bands, gilt rosette in upper and lower compartments, bud and leaves tool in central compartment, edges gilt, gauffered by 3 rows of rectangular dashes crossing the centre and ends of head-, tail-, and fore-edge. (Two scrapes to upper cover, small wormhole at foot of spine, expertly restored at extremities.)
