First (and only) edition, 2 volumes, tall 8vo (254 x 153 mm). Roman and italic type. collation: (13 unsigned leaves at start) B-2E8 2F2 π8 G-3Z8 a-b8: 533 leaves (?lacking a preliminary blank). 44 full-page plates plus further tipped-in woodcuts and facsimiles.


binding: Contemporary red calf gilt (262 x 168 mm), gilt fillets and embossed cover surrounds, spine with five raised bands, ornately stamped in gilt, top edges gilt, others uncut. (Spine of second volume and covers detached, extremities rubbed.)
