Kabuto [helmet]:

the thirty-two russet iron bowl with raised ridges, terminating in a five-stage copper-gilt tehen kanamono, russet iron peak with sanko no byo rivets with copper-gilt fukurin, large turnbacks applied with copper-gilt agari-fuji kamon, three-tiered black lacquered tiered rounded neck guard (manju-jikoro), elaborate gold lacquered maedate in the form of a dragon

 

Mempo [face mask]:

russet iron ressei mempo forged with fierce expression and deep wrinkles, detachable nose-plate (possibly later), red lacquer interior three-tiered yodaregake


Do [cuirass]:

the richly patinated iron cuirass hammered with a coiled dragon in relief, seven tassets of five tiered kusazuri, the interior of the cuirass dated Ka'ei ninen rokugatsu kichijutsu (an auspicious day in the 6th month of 1849) and signed Fujiwara Mune...


Sode, kote [shoulder guards and sleeves]:

six-tiered black lack sode, chainmail kote

 

Haidate, sune-ate [thigh protectors and shin guards]:

chainmail haidate with silk brocade edging and linen lining, shin guards (sune-ate),
