oil on panel, the repousse silver casing depicting St Menas on horseback, inscribed in Greek Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΜΗΝΑΣ, 'Saint Menas', tughra stamp upper left, sahh stamp upper right, Ottoman export license pasted to reverse

35.6 by 25.6cm.

A miniature icon of St Menas on horseback with comparable Ottoman silver casing was sold at Hargesheimer Kunstauktionen Düsseldorf, 16 April 2021, lot 533.
