LIMITED EDITION, ONE OF 877 COPIES, tall 8vo (256 x 158mm), 24 volumes including plate volume, engraved title vignettes and plates, facsimile wrappers from the original parts, original full buckram, printed spine labels, top edges gilt others uncut, extremities slightly rubbed and bumped


Plate volume includes one original engraved steel plate (115 x 85mm) with beveled edge entitled "At the Coffee-house" [Undated]. Number 369 of the 877 engraved steel plates presented to subscribers of The Nonesuch Dickens (Bloomsbury: The Nonesuch Press, 1938). Housed in felt-lined clamshell case with 2 typed letters (one signed by the Deputy Chairman, on Chapman & Hall Ltd. stationery, authenticating the plate), one framed engraving, one photograph, and an envelope.
