Terence Cuneo is best known for his detailed, realist depictions of railways, horses, and military scenes. As the son of two painters, who met through the atelier of American artist James Abbot McNeill Whistler, Cuneo went on to study at the Slade School of Art in London. In his home country of England, Cuneo received his most prestigious commission from Queen Elizabeth II, for The Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, Westminster Abbey, 2 June 1953, bringing his name worldwide. His realistic style maintains global appeal for Cuneo’s incredible detail and dynamic compositions.
