This ancient portrait head fragment was once fully restored as part of a complete bust, probably in Italy in the 17th century. The bust showed the head turned to the right, bent slightly down, and set onto white marble shoulders draped with a tunic and mantle fastened with a brooch on the right shoulder, the whole on a turned white marble socle.
