At the time of the 2014 sale, Dr. Fritz Koreny pointed out that although this drawing is stylistically close to the works of Rogier van der Weyden (d. 1464), it does not relate directly to any known work by Rogier or his workshop, and should probably be dated slightly later in the fifteenth century.
