A Louis XVI Silver Tureen and Cover, Jean-Pierre Charpenat, Paris, 1780-89
circular, on four scroll feet headed by acanthus, the cover with pinecone finial, marked on base and under cover, and throughout with discharge marks. Together with a later silver-plated mirror plateau, probably 19th century.
