the inset rectangular molded Carrara marble top with a pierced three-quartered gallery above two sprung drawers and a panelled cylinder enclosing open compartments and a sliding rectangular gilt-tooled black leather writing panel, above a central frieze drawer flanked by two short drawers on the left and a coffer on the right, on circular tapering stop-fluted legs with turned sabots; stamped J.F. LELEU on the back above the right proper rear leg; later ring drawer pulls
