The present lot bears sticking resemblance to the jade rings from the Qijia culture excavated from Gansu province. For a few examples, see Gu Fang, The Complete Collection of Jades Unearthed in China, vol. 15 Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Beijing, 2005, pls 14-16. A closely related example, previously in the Yangdetang Collection, later entering the collection of Chang Wei-Hwa, was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 27th November 2019, lot 2757.
