Small 8vo (167 x 100 mm), ruled in red throughout, contemporary limp vellum gilt, vellum endleaves reusing a medieval manuscript, gilt edges, some old inkstaining at margins of textblock and covers, 1cm loss to corner of upper cover
Extremely rare first edition of Claude Gruget's translation of Damiano de Odemira, bound with first edition of François de Ferris's French translation of Xenophon.
