A comparable pendant, featuring a phoenix surmounting an open-work floral and scroll-work pendant, set with rubies and adorned with enamel decoration and suspended by enameled chains of floral design, is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (accession number: 17.190.906) and is attributed to Sicily in the first half of the 17th century.
