model no. 2214, probably a Royal presentation vase, with gilt foliate-scroll handles with griffin, acanthus leaf and fruit terminals, the blue ground reserved on one side with a panel painted with a view of the Altes Palais in Berlin and on the other with the Königliches Schloss, with the Lange Brücke and the statue of Frederick William, the Great Elector, in the foreground, within a gilt tooled foliate frame surmounted by a crown, the gold-ground neck tooled with an oak leaf border, the gilt foot moulded with overlapping leaves and gadroons, on an octagonal foot with blue and gilt trellis panels, sceptre above eagle within a roundel mark in underglaze-blue, stencilled orb and KPM mark in iron-red, incised 3 and indistinct impressed mark to footrim
