7-inch latched dial with winged cherub spandrels divided by engraved scrolls and signed along the lower edge Tho:Tompion Londini Fecit, matted centre with alarm disc, strike/silent lever at XII, alarm winding at X, the fusee movement with seven latched, knopped and ringed pillars, verge escapement, Tompion's quarter repeating work operating from both sides, repeating and striking on two bells, the foliate engraved backplate signed as the dial and numbered 137 along the lower edge, the phase 1 case with domed top and brass carrying handle above a frieze fret and moulded base.
