Probably commissioned by Don Michele Imperiali, Prince of Francavilla (1719–1782), resident at the Palazzo Giudice di Cellamare, Naples from 1760–1782 (where his collection was valued at 30,000 ducats);

Infante Don Sebastián Gabriel de Borbón (1811–1875), by whom bequeathed to his son

Don Luís de Borbón, Duque de Ansola, by whom bequeathed to his son

Don Manfredo de Borbón y Bernaldo de Quiros, Duque de Hernani (1893–1979);

Thence by descent in the Valdès Collection, Madrid;
