The arms are those of Tollemache for Lionel Tollemache, 4th Earl of Dysart (1708-1770). At the age of 19 he inherited his title and five large estates in Surrey, Suffolk, Northamptonshire and Cheshire. In 1729, when the pieces in the current lot were hallmarked, he married Lady Grace Carteret (1713-1755), daughter of John Carteret, 2nd Earl Granville.
