The Golden Gate International Exhibition (1939-1940) was a World's Fair held at San Francisco's Treasure Island to celebrate the city's two newly built bridges: the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge.


Bing Crosby's performance on October 3rd was a major event that attracted a record number of visitors. The day of his performance was the fair's highest attendance day, with 187,730 people visiting the site.
