Description

The cover surmounted with a finial of a warrior in classical dress holding a shield and spear, decorated with scroll chasing and a foliate border, the body with matching scrollwork, applied with three cast scrolls with mask brackets, the knopped stem with three scrolls with grotesque masks, the foot with scroll work and foliate border, marked on the lip of the cup with town marks, date letter and maker's mark.
