Description

each painted in black and green with highlights to imitate bronze with a classical figure of man, one seated holding a tablet, the other reclining, holding a cornucopia and a feather, against a white marble ground and within a leaf garland, the fond écaille with a gilt border of palmettes, rosettes and fruiting vines, the foot with a formal gilt leaf border, both with script Sevres.X. marks in red enamel for Revolutionary Calendar year 10September 23, 1801 – September 22, 1802, impressed letter L, incised letter B
