frame folding at the ends and centre, with hinged sides, resting on 6 brass-castored feet, the mounts topped with brass balls, signed Desouches in an arc and stamped multiple times with a closed crown, the mounts joined by a brass plate inscribed ‘Par Brevet d'invention MJ Desouches Serrurier du Mobilier Impérial rue de Verneuil FB St Germain à Paris’, in a wooden case with fittings; with a later Empire green canopy and a later mattress
