Description

rectangular, the lid centred with an ebony escutcheon engraved with the N under an imperial crown and the words ‘Fontainebleau’, the spandrels are decorated with the imperial Eagle, and a push-button opens to reveal an interior lined with blue silk and trimmed with silver, comprising six compartments with five compartments for tokens covered on the edges with polychrome silk, the box contains painted bone and ivory tokens decorated with the four suits: clubs, diamonds, hearts, spades
