the ewer, on a foot adorned with a laurel garland and engraved with coat-of-arms, with a gadrooned low part, applied with griffons and columns terminating in mermaids holding laurel garlands, a scrolling handle decorated with a swan, and a circular basin on a foot with a similar decoration, engraved in the centre with scrolling foliages and coat-of-arms, fully marked, inscribed on the foot « Biennais Orfèvre De LLMM Impériales et Royales et de sa Majesté le Roi de Hollande à Paris », inscribed underneath the basin « Biennais Orfèvre De LLMM Impériales et Royales à Paris »
