8vo, FIRST EDITION, FIRST IMPRESSION, SECOND STATE, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR ("To | John Stowe - | - the semi-injured | party! | from | Ian Fleming") on second front endpaper, original black cloth (Fabroleen), "Dancing Lady" design to upper cover (missing from earliest copies), lettered in silver, dust-jacket illustrated by Pat Marriott, housed in bespoke black cloth clamshell case with embossed dust-jacket design and brown edges, plastic wallet containing related ephemera loosely inserted in case (list of ephemera available upon request), front free endpaper with some marginal soiling and dampstaining (with inscription slightly smudged), endleaves slightly spotted, circular stain from coin at margin of p.147, one or two slight creases to dust-jacket
