Louis-Nicolas Lambert de Thorigny (1666-1729) was the son of Nicolas II Lambert de Thorigny (died 1692), Counsellor of Louis XIV and président de la Chambre des Comptes.


3 parts in 2 volumes, 16mo (90 x 46mm). Roman and italic types, 26 lines plus headline. Collation: *2–*8 **4 A–Aa8 A2–A8 B–D8 A–C8 D4 E8: 270 leaves. Engraved frontispieces, ruled in red throughout.


Binding: Eighteenth-century French red morocco, 3 gilt fillets around sides, in centre arms of Lambert de Thorigny, spine with 4 full bands, compartments richly gilt, marbled pastedowns, edges gilt
